ImaBird
This is a two-fold thread -(1) - Are revolving credit cards considered open-ended accounts or written contracts in Ohio?(2) - I found the following information at http://www.carreonandassociates.com regarding the SOL in Ohio:STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS (IN YEARS) Open Acct.: 4 Sales Contract (UCC2-725) Written Contract: 15 Domestic Judgment: 21 renew every 5 Foreign Judgment: 21 renew every 5 However, in other places, the SOL in Ohio is listed as 6 years. Does anyone know which one is correct? Thanks!
willingtocope
Its my understanding that courts in Ohio have found that CC are "written" accounts...which means they're actually SOL = 15 years. You need to check with a practicing consumer lawyer in Ohio to find the current thinking of the courts....
