Pulling once month isn't excessive I don't think. I have credit cards with wamu and target and they pull every month. Having said that, depending on what they are collecting for they might not be legal. Unless it was related to a credit transaction they can't pull your credit accoring to a recent court decision.

Collection agency has consistently pulled my credit for 10 consecutive months. Twice in one month alone. Are these considered hard credit pulls? and is it legal and/or permissible? Please help its killing my credit score.

how are you viewing your report? usually they tell you what if its a only seen by you type pull or if its a hard pull....

I am assuming these are hard credit pulls by the collection agency. Experien Credit Report titles is as "Request Viewed By Others" The big question, is there a limit to the amount of pulls by the collection agency? Are there any policies or laws in place to protect the consumer from this exploitation of power of credit pulls? Even if this account is in dispute?
