laney123
Hello all,I have intiated an online dispute with two of the 3 CRAs. My question is, is it a good idea to send a letter stating that it is a "follow up or a confirmation of my online disputes? Any advice would be great. PS: I did the disputes today and I am thinking about sending the letters this weekend.
Boscoe
No, don't do that! It gives the CRA's 15 additional days with your dispute (total 45 days) and that may make a difference whether your item(s) get deleted.......You did the online dispute and probably got a confirmation #. Hold on to it because you will likely need it when they finish their investigation.
laney123
thank you all for the fast response. So I'm gonna just wait it out. I am just gonna DV the collection agencies then. Again, thank you!Another question:I've never received any correspondence from the CA. Do I still DV them?
pointman
You definitely don't want to restart their clock by disputing again. Let them exhaust the initial 30 days, wait a few more days for the results, then come back at 'em again. ...So I'm gonna just wait it out.I've never received any correspondence from the CA. Do I still DV them?Any correspondence as in "you only knew about them due to seeing them on a report" ?DV them anyway. I found out about some of mine after not checking my report for over three years, and some of them had been on there at least that long. You may stir up a hornet's nest, but any results you get will be well worth it.P.S. The Waiting Is The Hardest Part - Tom Petty
