Okay,

now maybe someone has seen this or done this when writing their dispute letters so if you have then sorry ! What I was thinking was that if you know that an OC like PROVIDIAN or a CA like MIDLAND always re-age's the DOLA everytime you dispute their TL couldn't you just add to your dispute letter to the CRA's what the DOLA is ? I mean couldn't you just point out that they keep re-aging and if they do it again that it is a violation to include this information on your CRA ? Just send the CRA's a copy of your CR and highlight the DOLA so the CA's and OC's can't change it and if they do....VIOLATION !!!!!.....Am I missing something here ? Any help is appreciated.....

WTC then what is the DOLA ? I have always thought it was the Date of Last Activity and since I havent used the CC in almost 6 years then how can the OC change that ? DOFD or DOLA if its wrong on your CR then its a violation Correct ? Thanks......... :)

DOLA could be the last time the DF updated the CRA's. The OC and /JDB (CA) are required to report the DOFD to the CRA's w/in 30 days. Call the CB's and ask what DOFD has been reported. If they give you anything more recent than "almost 6 years" then you might have a violation.

Nascar,

if they do give me something more recent than 6 years then how can I prove that ? I mean its just their word against mine without any documentation :(

If the OC is still listed, they should also have that info. Beyond that you would have to rely on previous CR's, bank statements, cc statements....etc.

Well heres the funny thing Nascar, I have past CR's with the a different DOLA than my previous CR's ! Violation ?

DOLA or DOFMD? Two completely seperate things. On my EX report I have an account that shows DOLP 11/03 but Date Major Delinquency First Reported of 06/04 which looks mis-leading but that was just the date the OC reported "this account is delinquent" to the CRA's. DOFD would still be in this case 11/03 because after that point the account was never brought back to a cuurent status and subsequently charged off.

I have an account on EXP showing Account details will be removed Dec 2009. I defaulted in April 2001 and never became current. I disputed online and they deleted account but later updated as valid. CRA said I must contact CA
