lsh
Ok I went ahead thinking I was doing the right thing...paying off the debt for the amount asked. Even though it was 60% of the debt I now see I could have negotiated less. I did everything wrong and I am shaking in my boots. I gave them an electronic check and one that is postdated. I don't have the agreement in writing. The statue of limitations is up on the debt but it still shows up on my credit report. Help! What do I do now? I have 2 more cc debts. The statue of limitations is up on these as well. Both of these debts occurred after I had filed for bankrupcty. Dumb. Needless to say, I have not had a credit card in 7 years. Can anyone tell me what to do now. Should I cancel the postdated check? If so, I need to do it immediately and it may be too late
