Infocheck
Hi Eveyone, I disputed items on my credit report but experian, and equifax sent me a letter to send proof of identity. I sent my DL,SS Card and copy of the front page of my report. I would like to know is this being done on purpose to slow down the process. I would appreciate your input. 2001Badyear
Yes, if you send it they get another 15 days. You sent what you needed to already, so just wait out the 30 days.

TheRoadBack
next time include your drivers license on the same page as your dispute. This way they can't mysteriously lose it or request it and they will have proof of identity.

new mom
I have had this same experience with Eq and I didn't send in the information requested and they did not respond to my letter of validation.
Elrey26
Did you send a validation letter to the CRA? You should send a dispute letter to those guys and DV to the CA's... The CRA's are not required to validate your debt, only ensure it's accuracy...

You're hoping for either the delete or catching them if they verify with the CRAs but refuse to validate with you. Otherwise you're just wasting a DV. I sent a DV with the OC, and the CA in july or august of 2007, that was before i found this site. I only got a response from one of my creditors.
