razr
Hi Gang,I'm helping a family friend fix up her credit. She had a student loan from the University of Minnesota (Junell Loan) in 1999. She never paid on the loan. The U of M won a default judgment in 2002. She filed for BK, discharged in 2004, U of M was included as a creditor. She recently had a CA send a dunning letter, they are also reporting to the CRAs. It's my understanding that the loan is not a federal loan and was dischargable under the old bk laws. I could be wrong.Opinions?-r

razr
Thanks Lynn! Not really what I wanted to hear though...She tells me she actually graduated in 1997, so the loan was from either 1996 or 1997. I can't figure out what the DOFD would be. Any idea?-r
