hasas13
Asset Acceptance sent a letter to us on a letter head from a arbitration co. saying for us to call for arbitration. It also has a case number for a court date in civil court in Feb. 11, 08. The letter does not even have the amount or what is it that the suit is for. We have not being served yet. Is it true that I can represent the wife? It is on her name. I beleive I can do a very good job with your help. I keep you inform.
Amerikaner83
Is it true you can represent your wife? Only if you're an attorney, I do believe.Check with your county courthouse to make sure that there IS a case filed against you (her)...there may not be. Find out for sure. hasas13
Yeah, we called and there is one for Feb 11, 08. Thanks for the reference. We never got anything on this prior to this letter. So they are going to have to validate this in the courtroom. Amerikaner, thanks for your prompt response. I keep reading and learning plus I will call the courthouse to ask that question.
cjtx
Get a copy of any court documents from your court clerk. That way you'll know exactly what's going on. It sounds to me like it's an arbitration confirmation award, but before getting into that find out what it is they want.
hasas13
That is good, I will be there bright and early. We need to be proactive on this. Thanks. I think you hit the nail on the head.
