JTsdaddy
I was contacted by a CA about 1/ 1/2 years ago, before I found this site. I never did anything cause I was not aware of what could be done.. that said I wish to recontact this CA. and start the DV process, to verify the information 1 account I dont remember.. could be mine.. the 2nd account I had medical Ins. So if I call them and ask about this account (make Contact)( record call ) Are they required to send me information within a time frame. I think they are but not sure. lovebug5
Nope - they're not.If you're contacting them out of the 30-day window which is given to you after you receive their dunning letter (which would've been over a year ago for you), they are not required to do anything with your DV. JTsdaddy
So how should I handle This any Suggestions ???
lovebug5
First off, I would never make contact via phone with a CA, regardless as to whether or not your State's Laws permit recording. Do everything in writing, via CMRRR. Create a solid papertrail in the event that you need to use it later. If your point out of the whole thing is to obtain documentation to prove your ownership, I'd take the FCRA route...Provided that you've already disputed the accounts with the CRA's and the accounts have come back as verified, you have ample reasoning to believe the accounts aren't yours, etc.
