Can satisfactory accounts be added to my credit report?

Recommended Posts

First time poster long time reader. Thanks to everyone I have learned a lot and have gotten many baddies removed. Now my question. I have 4 " good " accts with long positive pay history reporting on TU but not EX or EQ. Is there a way to have them added to the CRA's?

OK. I spoke to the OC and they informed me that they couldn't add them to my reports. I know they report to the others besides TU because they are reporting one account to all 3. Any suggestions on have these accounts with long pay histories added?

Well, reporting is voluntary, and not all creditors report to all agencies. Reporting to CRAs can be a costly endeavor, especially for small businesses. I once had a credit card with a small credit union who only reported to TU; they appeared to simply not have a business relationship with EQ and EX.

I just signed up on myfico.com last night and paid for my scores/reports. on the reports there are pre-made dispute letters you fill in your answers/print and mail...well i noticed there was a place to add accounts not showing. I wont know for about a month if it works. Just a thought.

Yes, do let us know.

I have a card opened in1987 that was closed a few years back that I need the history for as I recover my credit from a bk.

I called them and asked the question. They said they would send a letter saying the account was closed, etc. etc. I pushed for them to report to the CRA's. The lady put me on hold for about 15 minutes, came back and said they would. We shall see. This item is only on EX, but hopefully will be on all 3 by early Feb. I will advise.

I did the same for AMEX. They said they would send a letter and said that I could forward it to the CRA's to add the account. Is there any chance that the CRA's would go for it? I will try, but just wondering if anyone else has done this.........

The next update of the FCRA MUST include a provision to capture your oldest TL for use in the "oldest" account for aging and scoring purposes. I found a 1996 credit report that has several items listed that were opened in the early 90's and many subsequently closed around 97/98. The CRA's say I am on file since 1985. I should have my oldest account with this date!
