mathis9394
Hello! Recently got DH credit report, we looked it over and saw once again that Arrow is screwing up, so we decided to dispute it sent in copies of all paperwork and the dispute form. Now almost a month later, we get a letter from CSC asking for photocopies of his ss# card and DL # and that they cannot continue with the dispute unless they get that information. Has anyone else had this problem with them and should I send them the information and request the copies back? This is my first time dealing with this company and I am not sure if I like it. Thanks! scottb99
I have never had them ask me for any form of ID or SS#. Seems like a stall tactic to me. CSC is very slow at dealing with disputes.
zfire
Personally, I would go ahead and send the stuff they want. It will also unfortunately add 15 more days for them to work on your dispute. Some people never send it and they will still process the dispute. I have copied my DL and SS to the bottom of some paper, and when I send a dispute to anyone, I use that special "stationary." I doubt they will send the copies back. Wouldn't bother even asking. I might add that a lot of people hate this or that CRA. I have had nothing but good luck with my disputes with CSC aka EQ. So I wish you the best.Z
mathis9394
Thank you! Will make copies tomorrow. Would it be better to do this Certified so I know it got where it was going?
momof5
I would wait the extra 15 days.....and tell them that they had time to do the dispute and their failure is not your problem....in that envelope include their docs. When they say they get 15 more days....you say, nope you already had your 45! Date of dispute +45 = so many days ago! LOL play their game back at them! isislc
When you get a letter like that from CSC they are trying to trick you into giving them another 15 days to investigate your dispute. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT EVER send them documentation they request when you send in your disputes. I get these letters from them all the time and just ignore them. They will still investigate your disputes no matter what. The only difference is that you didn't give them the extra 15 days.
merkurfan
CSC blows chunks almost worse than EX. However you can use this to your advantage. You disputed, and they are stalling. Call them on day 31 and ask them to close the investigation and delete. This has ALWAYS worked for me when they take to long on a investigation. Oddly, they are now taking 29 days to do them.
