Journalist seeking folks to interview now

For a prestigious national newspaper, I am writing an assigned story on debt settlement.

I would like to interview, by telephone, folks who have had experiences settling credit card debt either on their own, with an attorney, or by hiring a firm.

Looking for good experiences, bad experiences, or anywhere in between -- just looking for the facts, with the aim of helping all consumers understand the benefits and pitfalls.

Interviews have to be on-the-record, meaning I have to put your name in the paper; I may also ask if we may take your photo to run along with the story.

Everyone will be treated respectfully by me.

If you are interested, please email me at peartree@post.harvard.edu with your name and phone number.

Thank you for your consideration, Jane B.

Hey guys, please send me a PM if you can help Jane out. She is looking for anyone who has:

Gone through a professional debt settlement/debt negotiation company and has gotten into debt through:

  • divorce
  • loss of job
  • medical bill.

If she uses your story, they will send out a photographer to take your picture - and they will mention this site in the paper - I could use the publicity. Without a human fact to this story, it will not run.
