Today to much suprise I found that I had four collections on my credit, should I even try and dispute their claims? I called about one of the accounts which I was given a date of June 29,2003 which I know is incorrect because it was for an epidural my child was born on June 30. On top of that they had not billed my insurance that I had at the time. The woman said I had to pay it they did not care if it had not been turned into the insurance or not, that the insurance company would not pay it now. As for the remaining three collections they are for my child, the Tenet hosipital never filed it on her insurance. Am I responsible if the hospital failed to bill insurance? I have contacted the insurance provider who sent verfication that my child had insurance at the time to the collector, and had told me not pay anyhting.

Are you dealing with the hospital or a CA?
