wvumurray Posted January 30, 2008 Report Share Posted January 30, 2008 I have a collection account that has changed hands, originally the first collection entry shows that the neg information should be falling off in a few days in Feb.(02/08) When it changed hands the new collection account shows it falling off in sept 09!!! How should I precede with this? Should simply call the CRA's and fax them this info? SHould I contact the CA and tell them to remove or face legal action. Ahntara Posted January 30, 2008 Report Share Posted January 30, 2008 Call the CRA(s) and request THE DATE that begins Reporting Period per the FCRA 1681c, Subsection 605 and 1681s, Subsection 623 (read them first to know what you are asking/looking for).Once you get the month/year for BOTH entries, you then have info to begin your dispute.
