Old target card late - remove or keep on?

I have an old target card that I stopped using in 2001. There was a 90 late thats making TU show it as a negative account. The account was closed I guess due to no activity for 6 years but target has been updating the status each month as OK.

So what should I do?

I guess my options are:

Try to remove it since it's so old?

Keep it because it's so old? But it's status is closed?

Maybe call target and see if they will reopen it?

I guess my main question would be: is this listing helping me because they are updating it as good every month, even though it's closed?

or would it be better to remove it? It's one of my oldest TL's.

If it is still reporting as OK for you, have you thought about sending a GW letter for the 90 day late or try disputing as "Never being late"? With the account being old, if you can get the 90 removed the account would be good to keep for the age. Having it removed would be like shooting yourself in the foot. It would be in your best interest to keep it. If you could, I would try to see if they would reopen the account. In most cases they probably would unless you had a poor relationship with the company. Keep it in my opinion and just GW the 90 day off or dispute it.
