noodlepoop
Hi there,I have an old tiny PG&E bill (12 dollars) that's been following be around since 2004. About 6 months ago, when I bought a car, I brought up my credit score, noticed it, and paid it off. So a couple quick questions:Is there any way to get something like this off my credit? If not, will it drop in 2011, 7 years from the initial overdue date, or in 2015 since I paid it off? And finally, is this even worth worrying about, how many points is something like this worth? It had gone 3 years without being paid, but it was only a 12 dollar debt...Oi, thanks.
Robert Nashville/Savannah
Personally, I really don't think it's worth worrying about - I can't imagine it's having that much of an impact on your credit scores (especially if the other factors that impact the FICO model are Ok).That said, it won't take that much effort to dispute it - there is at least a reasonable chance that the OC won't verfy.Another option, maybe worth trying first, is to ask for a little mecry from the OC to see if they'll just delete the entry...never hurts to ask!
