meghand
Hi there!I pulled my credit report last night. On it, there is LHR, Inc saying I owe about $13,000. This is a credit card I shared with my ex boyfriend, I think-not sure if it is or isn't! On Experian it shows as an Unknown-Credit extension, Review or Collection Closed. Date opened 10/1/2005. Amount owed is $13,902. Terms: One month. On Equifax it shows as Open Account, Open. Date opened 1/1/0001 (is that a year??) It is marked as a Collection Account, at least 120 days past due in the Status part. Owed: $13,902. On TransUnion it shows as a Collection Account, Open. Date opened 10/27/2005. Amount owed $13,902. Collection account, placed for collection.Yet on my 7/2007 report it is report with Experian as a Collection account, Installment account, opened in 10/2005. Terms: One month. I know we had two cards, both were closed in Nov 2004. I just don't see this card anywhere on my report, while the other one is (the original card, no Peak (who was the CA for that one) listed)!Should I DV the CA or dispute through the Credit Agencies? I DV'd Peak with the other one, was successful in that! Should I just wait until the SOL is up? (Why rock the boat?) I want to buy a house and this is the one thing that seems to be preventing me!Thanks for any help!
TTigggers
Do you when your SOL is up?IMHO I would wait for the SOL to run out before I DV'd them. Why give them the opportunity to sue you.
meghand
I think it is November this year? Florida is 4 years I believe!
NASCAR_Devil
Was this opened as a joint account or were you an Authorized User? If your were AU=no financial responsibility.
meghand
Unforunately, I don't rememeber! I know on one I was the main one. Also, he has all the papers (well, if he even still has them!). If on one I was the AU, could I get it removed from my credit report?

If on one I was the AU, could I get it removed from my credit report? You should be able to. Under account type it should say either individual, joint or authorized user, sometimes just abbreviated "I", "J" or "A".
meghand
The Chase one (charge off) is listed as Individual. The LHR one (from Omaha) is listed on my 2007 report as Individual, but an Open Installment account. I know for a fact on one, I was the main cardholder, he was the AU. On the other, I was the AU, as he had the card for years before I came into the picture! I thought they are not allowed to do that?

Dispute the account that you were the AU on as "not mine". It should be deleted.
Moneedshelp
If you are near SOL, I would suggest that you wait, if you can. Sounds like there are too many uncertain factors which may weigh against you later such as you might have been the account holder and not an AU and this may or may not be one of the old cards you had.If you can, wait it out. Good luck
meghand
I think that is what I will do, wait it out, when I reach SOL, then dispute AU and all that fun stuff! I'm also going to dig through my old records again to see if I have ANYTHING to help me figure this out! Thank you all so much for helping me work this out in my head!!
