BTO429
I was forced to retire from the marine corps and had to wait 9 months for my retirement to start paying me. I got behind on my truck and they repoed it, Luckily i got my retirement check two weeks later with all the back pay. I paid what i owed on my truck and got it back, but I have a lot of late pays and the repo on my CR. Any ideas on how I may get the auto loan company to help me out and not show all those lates and the repo. How long will it take if I make payments on time for that crap to slowly go away. Ravenous Wolf
Your best approach is just to go to the auto loan company and tell them your situation. The problem is that you have to go as high as you can. Somebody at the bottom is just going to follow company procedure and tell you go to pound sand. Your best bet is to find a sympathetic manager or someone up in upper management. You got your documentation to show them what happened. The other drawback is that so many people in the banking industry are ignorant of the credit reporting process and are unaware that a creditor can legally alter anything on a trade line. And even the ones who are aware of it are inclined not to do anything because they don't want to get swarmed with people asking for the same thing. But overall, if you don't ask, you don't get... Robert Nashville/Savannah
Humm...do you have any automatic weapons sill in yoru possession???Just kidding!!!I think asking for a little mercy is your best hope here...if you can reach a human being (with a real heart and brain) and explain what happened and why, I think you stand a very good chance of getting this off your reports. You need to go the "mercy route" because it sound as if what they are reportig is what happened. One other thought does come to mind which is whether the SSCRA comes into play here and if they violated it when they repoed your truck...that might be worth looking into!
