Midland validated wrong account!

Wow! I just caught this! I've been working on DW's credit and trying to clean some of it up. I sent a DV letter to Midland Credit Mgmt. They sent me back the validation for a completely different account!! xholysheepx

The information they sent (copy of an old bill) seems correct but I'm not sure. There is no TL that matches anything on her credit reports. How do I proceed because this obviously is note on her credit report that they are trying to collect on? I appreciate any input.
