isislc
Alright, since I got my new shiny CC from NFCU I decided to go ahead and apply for the MC on Sunday. No word on that yet but my Fico jumped another 20 pts when they pulled the CR so I'm confident about it. Well today I decided to look at my car loan, got it when I had really crappy credit. Wowzies! I was paying 25% on that thing! So I decided to call NFCU and see if they do auto refinancing, they said yes. Of course I asked if they couldn't just use the CR they just pulled for the CR and they said no, so I agreed to it. I then asked them to keep my payment around what I was doing now and then she checked my interest rate which would be 8% for my current CR, I was like whoa!. Then while she did the spiel on 4 yrs @ I told her I wanted it to stay at what I was paying now since it was budgeted. She was kind of surprised I didn't want to go for the lower payment, but the closest she was able to get was 2.5 years at 8% for $301 a month. I have never had an interest rate like that! lol. I'm supposed to call back on Friday to make sure but the lady I had to speak to for making a correction said it was already approved but not in the system yet. I'll call back just to make sure it is before I jump with joy out of my skin.

isislc
You wouldn't believe, I'm about ready to cry over this. My credit has never been this good. Not to mention that I lecture everyone on the importance of paying their bills on time and such. I'm praying they don't change their minds by Friday and I don't get the loan, would be heartbreaking by then.

isislc
MY LOAN WAS APPROVED!!I logged into my messages just to take a peek and it was already approved!! I can't believe it, it has been such a great day!I also checked on my application for the MasterCard and I was approved on that one too for a whopping $8,000 @13.9%!!!!!I had also been having so much fun recently filing vacates at the courthouse and my CR cleaning successes that I decided to even tie up loose ends with my ex. My divorce was finalized as of the 14th and filed yesterday! Boy will he be pissed since everyone is looking for him for money and I was kind enough to supply his current address. The vacates are funny too. In the order, the declaration for the vacate is myself only and secondary defendant remains responsible for the judgment. I had to put that wording in there just to be mean. DF is already planning our wedding lolMy mom always wanted me to be a lawyer but I opted for the computer geek! God rest her soul. I know she is looking down on me shaking her head with a huge smile on her face. She always said I could pull a rabbit out of my @$$ if I needed to. Thanks for all the gratz and hugs guys. Yeah, if it wasn't for this board and everyone's support I never would have learned what I know today. I AM tempted to start taking legal classes and opt for the Bar someday. When you start getting things cleared up and you build up victories you start to carry yourself differently and have more confidence in yourself. It took a long time to get here but it was well worth it. I have never had a card that high before. I'm done with credit cards now!!! Now I gotta work on the mortgage! isislc
Thanks guys for all the support. I just logged in tonight and my loan is already showing up under my accounts. Now I'm working on moving my payroll to them even though there is no branch around here that I can go to directly. No biggie, the CU I'm with right now is crap and they will have no problem missing me I'm sure. I couldn't even get a secured card with them guys, they pull TU.Hey Mags, you want to be me when you grow up but my scores are only close to your EX. I do say, I do have to give credit to those Student Loans I decided not to consolidate because although it looks like a lot of money in separate loans, it gives you better age when 7 loans report with 10 yrs + age on each as opposed to 1 after my rehab. Next is getting my mortgage and my plan after that, since all my cards are almost paid off and all but one now under 20% util is to start paying off those student loans one at a time starting with the small ones first. I think I will finally be joining the 700 club by summer. Since I'll be laid up for 3 weeks after my surgery, I'll have nothing to do but write letters and continue disputing everything off my CRs till they are squeeky clean! omega 3
Congratulations on your car loan:p:p:p:p:p. I live in NYC and we don't have NFCU in NYC, all other banks charge a fee of $3.00 and NFCU charges me a fee as well.
isislc
A fee for what? The closest NFCU to me is in IL. So if I need to go to a branch, we need to go on a 1.5 hr road trip. lol

I think I will finally be joining the 700 club by summer. I just got to such exalted heights and a lot of good it does me. Everyone seems to pull fricking EX. EX still has 8 derogatories on it, 5 of them are due to age off, so I've given up fighting over them. Two of them I'm still disputing via AG and BBB maybe they'll come off and one is my repo that I'm not touching until I'm sure SOL has run. I lucked out in that EQ made an error on the repo (said the DOFD was in 2007), I disputed it in utter outrage and they deleted. It seems like the CRAs talk to each other when you have a FA because I never disputed the TL on any other CR, but TU updated it. Weird. TU updated the loan underlying the repo to better status, inadvertently and that made it better. Of course, EX did dick.Anyway, I've tried a couple of times with my higher EQ score. I got a $750 CLI Lowe's card and PenFed denied me for a small used car loan claiming they thought I was trying to "pyramid debt". Well, I do have 13 new credit lines but they don't amount to very much in CL ($14,900 and $6,000 is Jared's and Kay) and my usage was only at about 20%.I'm just letting things ride for a couple of months until I get some more age on my new accounts. Maybe once everything gets 6 or 9 months old I'll try for something else. Hopefully by that time I'll be at 700+ for everything.
Magdalen77
I realized that I keep whining about this. (Waaah, I can't get good CLs).Sorry, I apologize to all.
isislc
Well, I'll tell ya. My CRs do really suck. My CRs originally had 2 BKs on each as well as 3 judgments. I lucked out with getting one BK and all but 1 judgment disputed off of my EQ along with a few of the CO accounts of accounts IIBK. Right now I'm down to 10 derogs on TU, 11 on EX, and 7 on EQ. Since EQ is my best report I've been trying to get anything that pulls it. My EX looks the worse with the collections still on it and TU is just as bad. I also have a good 100k in student loan debt so when I get a good TL I'm about ready to pass out from it. The TLs will come in time, just gotta keep pounding on the reports. I'm always trying to find ways to get mine changed in one way or another so that the notations make the Fico look better or a bad notation look neutral. I just wish I had the high Fico scores you do Mags, mine are pretty weak so I'm surprised that I have gotten what I have so far.

I just wish I had the high Fico scores you do Mags, mine are pretty weak so I'm surprised that I have gotten what I have so far. That's why I get grumpy. I have no BK, no judgements, 1 collection on TU and 0 on EX. EX has some old student loan tradelines (from pre-consolidation and pre-rehab), a few old credit card charge-offs and the repo. My big bad is that repo and it's not on EQ. EQ is pristine. Once I get more time on my tradelines EQ should be up past 750. If I could get that one collection off TU, it might go up above 700. I don't know what it will take to get EX to go up. It seems like when I removed all the collections from EX and TU, TU went up about 20 points/collection removed and EX only went up about 5 points/collection removed. Yet another reason why I have a bad attitude towards EX. I suspect that I could remove all of the derogatories from EX, including the repo, and my score would only go to 640-650.
