newbie7069
That's just ridiculous enough to probably be accurate.

isislc
Ok that was great, still going through the same thing now with my mom's accounts. I called to tell them she was dead and gave them the info but untill it goes to probate her accounts will still be accruing interest and late fees. She died in November and I called right away, they still haven't settled her accounts to this day. I can't tell you the name of the bank though.**Coouughhh! Coooouuuuggghhhh! stefdr
It's the reason I say AOL is so evil. When GF's mother died 2 years ago, we had this same runaround with their billing dept. The monthly bill for her AOL service was paid automatically out of her checking account. In settling her affairs, the checking acocunt was closed. GF called AOL to close her AOL account, and when she told AOL her mother had died, the billing drone said that she (GF) would have to transfer the account into here name before it could be cancelled. She didn't transfer it, and AOL sent bills for about 6 months for an account that should have been closed.

CleverCynic
Suddenly I don't feel so hot knowing my score is "better than 43%" of the population... and then realizing that a lot of them are probably dead.
