I paid OC but it went to collections b4 they recieved payment, how do I remove this?

This is a medical account, I paid the original creditor but before they received the payment it was sent over to collections. Now its on my report as a paid collection. I sent the OC a goodwill explaining I payed this account and told them I was very sorry it was late, I haven't heard back from them. I sent it over a month ago. All 3 CRA's verified it. Is there anything I can do to remove this? Is DV only for unpaid collections? PLEASE HELP! I am going to purchase a home and need this removed.
