rodeogal
About a month ago (before I found this site) I got a call from Elite Recovery telling me they had purchased a CO CC account of mine and I now owed them $$$ (about $1000) I think. They asked me if I still had the same checking account I used to have. When I asked them what account that would be they could not say, of course. They asked me how much I could pay per month to them. I said $25. He agreed. I asked him if he would send me something in writing stating that they agreed to the $25 payment until the debt was paid.To date, I have not received ANY written correspondence from them. Today, they called my cell phone but did not leave a message. Called my work phone, when I answered, they hung up.Now, does anyone know how aggressive these people are? I will say that they are not showing on my TU report, but they have made an inquiry in January.
swirlgirl
Is it your debt? How old is it? SOL? Depending on the age of the debt, if they call back, you could ask for an address and send them a DV letter. If you do write them, make sure that you tell them to NOT call you at work. The law clearly states that they have to stop calling your workplace if you ask them too.
