EQ inquiries removed

Recommended Posts

I don't know about EX and TU but with EQ you dispute online - just list the date and company as, I think, not mine (you'll figure it out when you get there). You can dispute inquiries at any time.

Also, just do a search for removing inquiries on this site. It's how I figured it out. Really easy.

Do you normally use EQ or do you use CSC Credit? Some of us have tried the EQ although we use CSC with the back door and it no longer works for us. Did you do anything else special other than the date and name of the company with not mine?

I'm not sure what CSC is. I just started an online dispute with EQ and listed the date and company and listed as not mine (I think the line is "not mine". It's obvious which one to choose when you get there).

Really easy to do, and they sent me a copy of my credit report advising they were no longer showing on my report.

Got all the how-to info from the board.

Am trying to figure out how to remove my TU and EX - for EX am nervous about putting a fraud alert as I've read your score can drop significantly with this method.

Backdoor method worked on two separate occasions in the past two weeks for me. Thre inqs gone from EQ.

LeslieR: what address did you use? The 2 I used don't work anymore. I tried a new address and hoping it worked. Did you do anything different or the same thing?

Maybe we're not talking about the same backdoor method. I go to the dispute site, act like I don't have a confirmation number, then type in all my information. I put the inquiry in as the account name and check not mine.

I got in through the back door by using a MA zip code and once in put my real addy. I have managed to get quite a few inqs off my report.

I think I'll try this and see if it works. Everything else has come back with no deletions, it really sucks!

Did you do this through the EQ website? Which one?

Ugh, I tried it again. Hopefully it will work. Yeah I use the EQ site and enterer an Ohio zip code. I think they are on to me though, gotten at least 50 inqs removed in this lifetime. lol.

How much do you guess it helps your score to get those removed? I have about 10-15 per CRA and I wonder what that's costing me in points.

Ugh!! I got yet another letter saying the inq's are not being reported!!

I don't know how else to list it.

I disputed my eq inquires online via the back door over a week ago and I got a letter in the mail today that went like this:

Results of your investigation

>>>>We have reviewed your concerns and our conclusions are:

The following disputed accounts and/or inquires are currently not reporting on you Equifax credit file

**********************************************************************************************************

I thought when they said not reporting that they deleted them off my report ? is this correct ?

NO.

It is not a crime. you have the right to question and get data showing the debt information so you can verify it accurracy and/or if it belongs to you.

The benefit of the dispute is that sometimes in the process they get deleted

Read the sticky's and the postings and you will get to understand the process.

Another way to think about the ethics of doing this is as follows:

The Collection agencies uses the credit scoring system to force you into paying. often times breaking the law and re-aging accounts to knock your score into oblivion.

I don't have a problem using the dispute process to get them to break the law and document that and use the leverage to get them to remove their negatives. xdancex
