Focus2069
I recently DV'ed a collection agency, Paramount Recovery, for what turns out to be a medical bill. The verification they sent back was of course, just a print out of what they have on file. It is my wifes bill, and she does remember what it was for, and we will probably wind up settling with the CA. What I am concerned about is, that I was under the impression that the actual medical issue itself was not supposed to be transmitted to the CA, due to privacy act stuff. The printout from the CA had all the info on why she was at the hospital, and that that info had to come from the Hospital itself. Can anyone please clarify? In that same letter I said I would sue if they did not comply and delete the entries. Both CAs did delete the entry from my credit reports. Get a copy of good credit is sexy or the poorman's lawsuit e-book from this site. In the appendix is the FTC opinion letter.

looksbothways
Have you tried going to the medical provider? I had a CA contact me about a medical bill. When I sent the DV, they replied with a copy of my bill from the hospital. I called the hospital and paid it directly to them.
