momof5
I had heart failure when I pulled my daily CIP today! EQ showed my Chevron account as "account sold/transferred" and $0 bal! (I have a $700 bal.) I immediately pulled an EQ report and SURE ENOUGH it did appear under revolving/closed accounts!I went to log in to my chevron account....selected from my favs the pre-login page and got 404-not found! Backed off to the regular www.chevrontexacocards.com ....and found a whole new chevron page that told me that existing account holders had to re-register.Re-registered...and *whew* account showed open, credit avail, etc. Navigation was totally different... while looking for what my interest rate is (couldn't find it by the way), I selected the "contact us" page...and there she blows! "GE" Chevron Bank.I called customer service and confirmed it. GE has taken over. That is why the page was changed, you had to re-register, etc.The gent at CS - when I asked when the open account would be reported, he said "WE" report every 30 days....so folks, for 30 days your Chevron accts will show closed/transferred - $0 bal until GE re-reports next month.Wanted everyone to know this so you don't have the heart failure I got! Also - we need to re-assess how "easy" it may be to get a new Chevron card. We no longer know for sure whether they will have the credit rebuilder programs, etc. So folks, when you apply and are approved, report back here so we all can know! (and if you aren't approved - so we can re-assess what the min score will be to be allowed a Chevron Card).
zfire
Well though I put it in the other thread....They gave me a 200 CLI today, so they seem to be starting offon the right foot??I hope that whomever does apply also remembers to post on Doc's thread which CRA Chevron pulls. That's probably changed too.

When I applied I got a reject letter that told me that GE had taken over. I guess GE has less money to risk.
SOC
Lol. Don't fret, Cheveron credit bank N.A. now belongs to GE Monybank. So I explained to the rep I talked to that I Just hit my 2yr mark with thier card and how did this affect my credit builder card. She explained to me my account was in perfect standing and that I am a normal card holder. So I asked for a credit increase, and she gave me 1g. Then she told me I can apply for a credit increase every 6 months.
