angielynne
I have 2 medical collections of my report that are being reported by both Transunion and Experian as unpaid as of 4/07. These were both paid to the original creditor (hospital) about 2 months ago. The hospital said that they would notify the CA and have these updated. They still have not done so. Is there some way now because this is technically incorrect reporting that I can have these removed? They've always come back verified in the past, so I can't file another dispute online with them. Do I have to send them something in the mail?
lovebug5
Do you have any agreement in writing between yourself and the OC that the accounts were to be pulled back from the CA upon receipt of your payment?
angielynne
No. But they should still be updated to paid.
lovebug5
Without an agreement in writing, I'd bet that your chances of having the TL removed are pretty slim. Contact the OC, explain to them that the TL's haven't been updated as paid...That this has had a negative impact on your credit worthiness...That you paid them out of good faith, and that as a gesture of goodwill you want the TL's removed. It can't hurt to try!
