JeremyTownshend
I have several charge-offs that are set to expire in 2010, 2011, and 2012 respectively. Should I pay them? The three total $2,000. Morally I guess I am obligated, but otherwise is it helpful to me?
aquamarinebug
it is really up to you - I have heard that you can still be busted for it later on OR that they will just fall off.If anything - read about PAY FOR DELETES. Get everything in writing. If you truly want them removed from your report ASAP - this is the way to go about it...but, if you don't care - you can try your luck with letting them fall off.Make sure if you do attempt the PFD that you again - GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. But if its not bothering you, causing any denials, and no ones trying to collect them then let them age off.But quite honestly, $2,000 is really not that bad. I would take care of them.
