Who is Cardholder Services?

Recommended Posts

We keep getting calls at home from some outfit called Cardholder Services. They never leave a message and the number on the caller ID just rings and rings when you call them back. We haven't recieved anything in the mail, but I'd really like to know who this is. My google search turned up that they have done telemarketing and collections, but I haven't been able to find anything else.

Anyone with more info out there?

What is the phone number? I have an Embrace card and used to have the Tribute card, and I think that is their department for mailing payments. I can check. It might also be HSBC, but the name is familiar.

I'll have to get the number off the ID at home, but I'm pretty sure it's not about any cards that we have. On the occasions that we have had calls from them, A- the bank name shows up on the ID and B) they leave messages identifying themselves as calling from Discover or whereever.

They've called at least once a day for the past week. Never when I'm home, of course.

many of the smaller cards farm out the operations (collections, customer service and the such) to card holder services. Do you have any credit cards that they might be calling on??? (like late ones?)

I know salute/aspen/HSBC (some of their cards) use the company. they are basesd out of GA if I member right.

ok, so the number from the ID is: 516-576-8785

Google tells me that this place does collections and telemarketing scams. Hmm, ok. So no one has ever heard of these guys? From a collection perspective I mean. I KNOW this isn't about a card we currently hold.

Hi. We used to get calls from "Cardholder Services" alot. At least, that's what always showed up on our caller ID. When we were called, usually it was telemarketing for our credit card. It wasn't due to any late payments or non-payments, rather they were calling to attempt to enroll us in an insurance program to protect our credit should an emergency arise (death of spouse, loss of job, etc.).

I don't doubt that they probably do collections as well, but that wasn't our experience with them. The problem was that they wouldn't stop calling even when we told them (repeatedly) that we weren't interested in their services. Apparently, you have to "opt-out". Call your credit card company or bank and ask about opting out.
