crzygrl4241
Hi all,I used the search feature and came close to answering my question but not quite. After examining my credit reports from all 3 CRA's, there is a CA for which each CRA has a different DOFD and a different date listed for when the account will fall off my CR. Is this common? Can I dispute the TL's on the basis that they have the wrong DOFD in this case? On a couple of these I believe the date is just flat out wrong. TU has the correct date and the other two are off by several years. Consequently the TL will fall off TU long before the others (if I can't get them deleted by other means). Anyone had this same experience? Thank you in advance!
Ahntara
TU has an 'estimated date of removal" from which you may be able to count backwards to determine DOFD.EQ has recently added a DOFD field.EX still doesn't list it. They only have a 'status date' or perhaps DOLA. That's not the same as DOFD. You have to contact them to obtain the DOFD for any account in question.Just to be specific, I'd recommend you contact TU also and make them tell you the actual DOFD in their records.Only then can you determine if the dates don't match. crzygrl4241
Thank you for the response! I will definitely contact TU and verify as well as Experian for the actual date. TU shows CA this falling of in September of this year, while the other two show it falling off in two years, so obviously it's to my benefit if I can at least get the DOFD corrected. Thanks again!
