I DV'd Palisades and disputed with the cra's, there answer was to send me to another ca that I think is part of their own network, and they updated my CR on the first of April.

They never responded to the DV letter

They have not put a statement that the item is disputed by consumer

What should I do now?

The DOFD is 12/2001

NO it was not timely. I read on here about how to get rid of palisades and that a simple dv sends them running. But that did not happen. All I did was open up a can of worms. I have never heard from them since they got this account cept for them on my cr.

DOFD 12/2001 and 6 years sol in Indiana.

Now a new ca has my account and the crap will start all over again.

The oc is first consumers national bank I have never had a credit card with them.

Well when you get a letter from the new CA send them a timely DV.

You could send Palisades a FCRA section 623 investigation letter and they are required to mark the account disputed and respont to you in 30 days if they don't they will be in violation of the FCRA.

Also send the OC an Investigation letter.

"...I never had an account with them..."

If this isn't your account send the documentation to claim ID Theft/Fraud and the account will get permanently blocked from your CR. The list can be found in the FCRA 1681c-2, Subsection 605B. The definition of, and reason for, a proper Identity Theft report can be found at 1681a, Subsection 603(q). That reference also lists alternatives to local police who dislike taking reports.
