LeslieR
Filled up yesterday @ $3.86 a gallon for a total of over a little over $50. Luckily, I don't drive very far to work so I only get gas about once almost every two weeks.

DHK
I'm glad I can do most of my work from home. My office is 20 miles away. Even with driving an 03 Corolla, it's still not very efficient - and I'm not very efficient when I'm there. In selling insurance, I used to go find a business park to canvass. Now, I know it's much more financially effective to just use the phone. I don't like it, but it's cheaper on gas and better on my time. JustaTexan
Luckily, I don't drive very far to work so I only get gas about once almost every two weeks.Same here, thank God. I work with a guy though who drives 25 miles to work everyday and his gas bill is like $120 every week. Of course he also drives a big F-350 but still........If my gas bill was that high I literally would not be able to make it financially. Around here gas is around $3.19. It took about $39 to fill up my hooptie Chrysler (16 gallon tank, fortunately not dead-a@@ed empty at the time).

isislc
We're at $3.51 here in Milwaukee but the prices do differ drastically in the outlying suburb areas. I've made the 15 min. trek out there to save up to 10 cents a gallon.

LeslieR
Was that 87 octane or premium?good point - it was 89 (so not super-premium). 87 was 3.99 at the same gas station.
someonesomewhere
good point - it was 89 (so not super-premium). 87 was 3.99 at the same gas station. There were some predictions that $4 a gallon gas would arrive at least 2 weeks before Memorial Day. Seems it will beat that timeline.

Magdalen77
Their predictions are getting almost like the weather man's....way off.I didn't look today. It was still at $3.29 last night. I'm very grateful that I live only two miles from my job. And that tax season is over, because that place was 12 miles away.My old hooptie Chrysler gets about 20 mph city and 24 highway. Though the city mileage has gotten worse with the freaking ethanol in gasoline, might be down to 17-18 mpg now. I haven't had the heart to recalculate for city miles. The highway miles seems to be the same with either the regular gas or the ethanol blend.
