Guest Bedo
Hello everyone, Just found this site & WOW..... alot of knowledgeable people here! I just electronically signed up with Freedom Debt Solutions a week ago. Once their contract was Fed-Ex'ed to me, I knew I made the wrong choice. My dilemma is , now they are wantng me to honor the first 3 payments for their fees. I did not sign anything in pen, only electronically. My spouse did not sign anything at all. I didn't sign the "Power of Attorney" letter that came with the Fed Ex. How can I get out of this "Contract" without incurring more debt? Any help would be greatly appreciated. A Newbie in dire straits.........
NYMatt
How do you "sign' something electronically ? Is it legal in Texas ?
swirlgirl
Electronic signatures are legal. That's how we "sign" credit card agreements when we apply online.Bedo, I don't know what you agreed to, but I would not sign any of the stuff they sent, write a separate letter telling them that you reconsidered and that you wish to end the contract. Send the letter back to them, along with all of the stuff they sent you (keep copies for yourself) and send it all CMRR. Try to send it to a manager or some higher up.Then, if you don't hear back within 2-3 weeks, follow up again with another CMRR letter saying that since they didn't respond to your first letter, you consider the contract broken and your business with XXX has ended.
