1 year anniversary

Recommended Posts

Well it's been about a year since I started working on rebuilding my credit. It has been a very long journey which is still not finished but I surely see the light now. My fico scores a year ago was this....Equifax 591, Experian 569, Transunion 608. A year later my fico is Equifax 726, Experian 688, Transunion 673.....I have still pending investigations with Experian and Transunion which I hope they follow Equifax and hit the 700 club as well.... I was so thrilled to see that whopping 726 on my report. Well let me say that I bank with USAA and I applied for there master card twice and twice I was denied...I knew they only pulled Equifax so I gave it another try to see what would happen. I was so nervous while the system was processing my information, it felt like forever and bam there it was a “Congratulations!” response something I was not all too familiar with, but greatly enjoyed. I read the statement about 3 times just so it could click in my head. My credit limit was even more of shock.... 15,000 dollar credit limit HOLY S%^T just a year ago I was with First Premier with a 350 credit limit. I cannot believe this, I am so happy but I would like to say thank you CIC very much for all of your help. Even though I do not post very often I hope to use my success to help other newbie’s follow into the path of credit godliness......8]

Congrats!! You were lucky with such a good score to start you out. When I started my journey, I was at 425. Yeah, their scores actually go that low.

:BigDance:

I know, two years ago I was at about 480 for EQ and TU and at 445 for EX. I'd probably be further now if I didn't keep starting (fighting, disputing) and then giving up.

I'm always impressed by people who keep at this for 9 months, 12 months or longer straight. I tended to give up after a couple months. Though, I'm not going to do that now!!

I finally got mad, and tired of the BS scores, and so I got mad enough to keep at it until it is done. With the progress I have seen so far, I am not stopping until it is done!

I think you just have to get fed up and determined. It's too easy to give up otherwise, None of this is rocket science, but persistence and patience definitely pay off. Some things work, some of the time and some things just need pure stubborness and refusal to give up.

I've been doing this for a total of 14 months now. My credit really got screwed with the Ex Husband. :D

Hey...all I can say is Congratulations....man $15K? That is friggin awesome, especially after one year.

I can personally attest that the hard work is paying off. I myself am seeing results after 5 months of working on it. I won't lie to any of you. I looked into piggybacking. Before CIC, I did "the law firm". I did more in 3 weeks than the fake law firm did in 6 months. Plus, you get a sense of pride that you cleaned this up yourself.

Best of luck to you, Musiq. Best of luck.

think one of the most interesting things I've noticed is the amount of friends and coworkers that have some type of issue with there credit but have no idea where to start, and when they realize how successful I have been in the last year, they ask for advice... I should start a credit repair company LOL! So even people that do know about CIC are benefiting from this website..
