labtech89
I am going to try pay for deletion to try and get some things removed from my credit record. I know I owe the debts and am willing to pay but want the collections removed from my record. If a CA agrees to the pay for deletion and then does not remove it can I send the letter to the CRAs the agreement and have them remove the account?Does sending an email count or should everything be sent by the post office with a return recepit?I did do a search and could not find anything related to this so if it is in the forum please direct me to the right area.Thanks.Kristine
lovebug5
1. Do everything via USPS Certified Mail with Return Receipt Requested.2. IMO, if you have the information for the OC's, try getting your PFD with them and not the CA. Why? CA's rarely agree to PFD's anymore. OC's are more likely to accept payment and agree to pull the account back from the CA in question. So basically, you write the OC a nice little letter explaining why there's a balance due...That you really want to pay it in good faith...And you were hoping that, in return, they would be willing to pull the account from their assigned CA and remove the file from your CR's.
