What evidence can I use in court on my behalf?

True. fyi- the burden of proof is high in criminal cases (beyond a reasonable doubt). But in civil cases, like what you are involved in, the burden is much lower (preponderance of the evidence). So even though the burden is on the plaintiff, the burden is more like "more likely than not". Just be prepared...
