blkchr91
I was just wondering if this is normal? I bet it is. I have probably had 20 negative items populated onto my credit report. All 3 credit reporting agencies have always known where I live, and I can prove it.Does this happen to everyone? If so, is this really an enforceable violation? I don't see this requirement in the FCRA by the way...is it just a rumor?Thank you
Freak
It is not the responsibility of the CRA to notify you of negative information; that lies with the data furnisher. Most typically notify you with a general notice in your monthly statement periodically, or even in the user agreement. The only time the CRA is required to notify you is when the RE-insert items deleted/suppressed from a dispute that was not resolved.
marcwilliams
Hi,It is correct that they don't have to notify you, but now that you know you have 20 negative items, you should really start doing something about it. Get to work, repair your credit, look around on the forums and on the internet and find the information you need to get started.Good luck!!Marc Williams{link deleted}
