kblasi
I just read the thread about Capital One being impossible to work with and thought it would be nice to have a list of collectors that are tough, or even impossible to work with. The concensus was that Capital One will not delete a chargeoff. I just started the process of investigating a Cap1 account. Now, I know to stop right in my tracks before I waste any more time and money. Are there other companies that will refuse to bend without exception?
jasen
Collectors or creditors? It would probably be easier (and much shorter) to compile a list of collectors that are easy to work with, if any exist.
Robert Nashville/Savannah
I think your list, although well intentioned, is immaterial.Whether a creditor, collector, JDB, etc is "easy" or not "easy" to work with doesn't change the available tools and process a consumer has to work with. Besides that, what do you mean by "easy"???If by "easy" you mean they'll simply fold and go away with a DV or will always do a PFD than I would say your definition is based on the wrong atributes. In any case, how a particular entity responds to the consumer will certainly impact the consumer's next step but each step in the process has to be taken that best fits each particular situation. kblasi
I'm relatively new at this and you guys have sufficiently called me out. It's hard to define what "easy" would be. I was just trying to get an idea of what collectors and creditors would not budge at all or would fight you tooth and nail up to a lawsuit. However, my own success just made this thread irrelevant. I got mail from Transunion today. Capital One charge off deleted after only a letter to CRA asking for investigation!
