Okay, so my mom tells me that the CA that has 42 medical accounts reporting that are SOL called the house today. I have nothing to do with the house line, I have my cell phone line. In my original DV to them in May, I did a limited C&D. (Yes, I realize that limited C&D are not enforceable under FDCPA).

They received my 623 letter on 7/21 (got the green card back with it roundated that day) and I received a letter today that was dated 7/22 with a list of accounts that have not been PIF .basically a "pay this bill" letter. Nothing regarding my 623 letter.

So what do I do now?

I can ignore the letters but I really want them off my reports. They are old hospital bills that were either paid, or were the write off from the insurance or in one case, I was considered indigent (didn't have insurance) and they wrote off all but $300 and I paid that.

They don't need to be calling and harassing my mom though. That's why I'm mad.

No, I don't have anything from back then - I had to move from Colorado in a hurry..long drawn out story. I've gotten about half (around 20) deletions already, but I just want the rest deleted. they just refuse to provide me any proof of the debt, hence the 623 letter.

Forgive me, but my first thought was that if I had 42 medical collections on my report, I would just be happy to be alive!

I had major complications after gallbladder surgery and also had a few kidney stones, but there is no way I was in the hospital 20 times in a year! Thus the reasoning for my validation request (amongst other reasons, such as the law).
