cunclusion
Now this is funny I disputed a collection on one account its set to be removed in 5 months anyways so I was like lets try it. Not only did they come back verified but also they added it to my EQ Credit Report. So now they are on my EX and EQ reports.
Debt Guy
In my experience, unintended consequences are not uncommon with random action. One should always a reason and a strategy in mind before firing off disputes. Obviously, one needs to weigh the risk of awakening a sleeping dog -- even a benevolent sleeping dog.You got off lucky. I've seen lawsuits result from disputes.
will35010
You got off lucky. I've seen lawsuits result from disputes. If it comes off in five months, it's probably a safe bet it's past SOL. I would just leave it alone. Five months is nothing.
cunclusion
Pretty much it and 3 others drop off in 5 months so I am going to stop my crusade for clean credit. Yeah its past SOL so I will sit back and wait, only problem since I have 4 kids all of my patience is gone....LOL
JustaTexan
Ha, yeah I've had something like that happen to me too! I disputed a never late old car loan that I really just wanted removed off my credit because I felt it was cluttered. They came back and inaccurately reported me late in 2007 and the wrong total amount. I'm still fighting this. Good luck!

JustaTexan
Thanks! Imagine how stupid I felt huh? Funny, now I don't mind so much if my credit is "cluttered."
