kenchimato
Good Morning All,I have several credit cards in my business' name and they do not show up on my personal credit report. Who compiles and keeps my business' credit file? When I apply for credit in the business' name, what bureau is checked, and where would I go to get this credit report? Thanks! swirlgirl
Try Dun and Bradstreet. http://www.dnb.com/us/ You'll have to pay a fee.
Ahntara
Experian also has a business CR. It's part of their contract that their report is never revealed as the source of info to the business/consumer.
willingtocope
And, just to add...unless you have a very large business (say, over $20M gross per year), most CC are really issued based on your personal gurantee (which means they'll check your personal CRs). This would probably also apply to any LOC you got from a bank.
BTO429
The biggest cra for business is Dunn and Bradstreet but it costs plenty to get your business in their data banks. Most small business pull your personal cr.EX and EQ have business reports but you have to make a good chunk of change to get strictly business reports. You can get a D&B credit file number for free but they charge quite a bit to get a file started on your business.
willingtocope
The biggest cra for business is Dunn and Bradstreet but it costs plenty to get your business in their data banks.Actually, I'm not sure that's true. Honestly, its been quite a few years since I dealt with them...but...what I remember is, they'll take your business name, line of business, etc., for free, and give you a D&B number to reference your file. And then, they offer you something or a fee which sounds like you really need it (sort of a credit montoring scam, I beleive), but you can decline.
