Have a creditor (Freedom Stores) that I did business with while in the military. They had the "special military financing" Anyway, payments were set up through payroll deduction. I was discharged from the militry in 2003, thus ending my payroll deductions, and have had no further communication with this company since, except for the threats they send to me. I just started to try to clean up my credit and when I pulled my credit report, i noticed that Freedom is reporting my first delinquincy as 8/2005, and the first major delinquency as 11/2005. I do not know how this can be since I have not had contact with them since approximatly 2003. Also they report to eperian in payment status "Charge-off" and with equifax "Bad debt & placed for collection & skip." Have never gotten anything from a colection agency representing Freedom. I know to start with CRA's but then what. Unfortunetly for me, I never kept records. Any advice?

How much is the debt? You will begin by disputing with the CRAs. Ask them to delete as multiple errors makes the TL invalid. Wait to get the results. They may delete.

If your dates on this are correct, it looks likethe SOL has passed. Check the SOL for CA to make sure. If the dispute from the CRA comes back as verified, you would then DV the CA.

Lastly, read the primer for more info: http://debt-consolidation-credit-repair-service.com/forums/showthread.php?t=276514
