Recommended Posts

Since ive been here I got some great information. I was able to raise my score from the low 4's to the mid 6's..

I now am getting a home loan in all goes well..

When moving how will it look on obtaing new credit.

I will be in the home a short time, not the current 6 years

will this hurt me

From what I understand from my mortgage loan buddies, when the mortgage initially hits your scores will dip hard....something like 30-50 points. Then it goes up in a couple to few months after normal payments.

Also, some credit cards like Hooters (I guess Merrick in general) will pretty much give you instant denial because your mortgage is new. Lenders have pretty much gotten scared in the current credit crunch. That's why I want to get all the credit I need BEFORE I get a mortgage.
