cliff61264
Hello I searched all over this site and was unable to find this scenario.I filed with my lawyer for bankruptcy in January 2006. My lawyer advised me that I had filed before and the time frame was not long enough to file again. So I had to wait 8 months to file so he stopped the bankruptcy. Than in September filed again and was discharged a few months later. My Question is All credit reporting agencies are reporting both bankruptcy's. One discharged and one dismissed, when I never pursued the dismissed one and never an order for relief. Can I have this removed? Or do I have to live with this for ten years also. Thanks for any help I may receive.Cliff
jq26
The info is correct. It was dismissed even though you didn't pursue it. You can't "have it removed" but you can try to get it removed by disputing it. There have been very few who have been successful employing that strategy.
