Price of Gas: $2.60 and still falling...

Recommended Posts

My wife filled up the mini-van this morning for 37 clams because of gas being $2.60 a gallon...

Earlier this week, the Wal-Mart I go to had it for $3.15 and then the next day it was $3.00 so I filled it up. But just a few days later my wife finds it for $2.60... GRRRRRR...

This only shows you that speculators need to be arrested because they keep doing the outrageous... They are speculating that the price of oil is going to keep dropping...

Filled up at 3.09 yesterday in Philly. Saw $2.97 in Jersey this morning.

Check commodity prices...wholesale gasoline futures are selling around $1.90 right now. That doesn't include the distribution and the few pennies for the retailer per gallon, but gas futures were above $3.00 just recently. Gas could be below $2.50 at the pump again...if all things stay about where they are now (strength of dollar, gas futures, demand). Big IFs though...

I realize you're being sarcastic here but, have you considered the liklihood that what's really happening here is that they're only taking their hand out of the cookie jar for a while?

Wholesale gasoline futures are down 50% in 90 days. Trading around $1.80. :):):) Keep in mind that this is not quite the pump price. There are distribution and retailer charges that would be added to this price.

At 10:35am every wednesday, the EIA updates the weekly demand #s, refinery capacity & utilization, & the US company stockpiles. Based on this number, the energy trading pits are en fuego, as these weekly figures usually set the trade for the next week.

I'm thinking the Tri-Lateral Commission and the Freemasons are at odds with each other again. One side is screwing with the price of gasoline to make one presidential candiate look better...the other side is screwing with the stock market to pump up the other. 40 or 50% swings in the price of anything isn't natural. Remember the tulip bulb conspiracy in Holland in the early 1600's? That was the pilgrims trying to finance their trip.

Of course, it could be the Russians. They haven't meddled in our society for awhile. With their oil revenues, they could be leveraging all this...

Considering the price of almost all commodities has been halved over the past 90 days, I doubt there is any conspiracy involved. Is there a conspiracy afoot by producers of natural gas, silver, gold, wheat, corn, fertilizer, soybean, etc. etc. to drop their prices? I think not.

Imagine the complexity of trying to coordinate any sort of oil price drop. There are multiple parties at every stage of the game with adverse interests. Occum's razor applies here.

Ok, I have checked the price again (regular gas) - we just now have gas available at very, very few stations for $2.999 (regular/self serve). Most are $3.04/gallon or more for regular self serve. .... Gas prices are coming down but not nearly as fast as it seems to be coming down in your areas.

Y'all have had lower prices for weeks!!!!
