jimevee
I stumbled across a thread yesterday concerning fdcpa and I can't find it again today. It had to do something with with the creditor trying to collect the the charged off amount as opposed to the past due amount subtracted from the charged off amount. i.e Charged off amt $5000 past due amt $1000 therefore they can only attempt to collect on $4000??? I think. If anyone has any idea of what this is referring to and can explain more I'd appreciate it.

Tazjeepcj7
There could be a difference where one Junk Debt Buyer would have the rights to collect on the entire account where another Junk Debt Buyer might only have the right to collect on the outstanding invoices from the account. Depends on the rights obtained from the Original Creditor.
