Hi! I had a Cap One card, and they did a bank levy on my bank account 11/07....Now that I am looking at my report, it still shows up on my report ad charged off.....shouldnt it be marked as paid.

What kind of letter to I write to them so they can mark it as paid as agreed?

Also- I am using Fedex to mail things, is there a full address for the CRAs rather then a PO Box?

Thanks

Well that judgement isnt on my credit report but I have bank levy papers from my county in NJ and they took the money out of my bank account for sure ($1047) was what they took which was the amount needed to satify the debt. I dont have that bank account anymore cause after that I closed it out.

So thats why im puzzled as to what to do, it still shows up on my report as not paid and late.

It's an interesting conundrum. If the judgment isn't showing up. I may leave this one alone for a while.

After all, if it's still showing C/O, it's not hurting as much as it will be if it's updated as paid. Unless you're looking to get a mortgage. What FICO is concerned with is the recentness of it. If the CO is much older, then it's having less an impact on your score as an updated paid notation would.

But if you're a credit puritan, and you're just looking for accuracy, then by all means get it reading correctly.

BTW, it can show both C/O and paid. Just be cause it's paid, doesn't mean it wasn't charged off. It can be both.

But if it's still showing a balance and has been updated, then it's been updated falsely, which means if they don't fix it, you can possibly threaten FCRA violations and get it removed completely.

YMMV, and Good luck.
