How to write an effective recon letter?

Can anyone show me a letter that worked for them or a template somewhere in order to see what is effective?

I was denied by Partners first due to "length of time accounts have been established."

I would like to recon that because I feel I have a shot at the card.

If anyone can help that would be wonderful?
