What can a person do if a judge simply refuses to let you tell your side of the story, and when you try to tell your side the judge asks the other party and they lie and the judge listens to them and not you.

This has been going on since 2002. I have tried on numerous occasions to tell the judge my side and he simply will not let me say a word, his response is there are no issues to discuss you will pay. This ca took me to court while i was on active duty. The judge will not let me produce any proof or give my side of the story.

File a complaint with the cheif judge along with a copy of your DD214 and invoke the Sailors and Soldiers Relief Act ( i remember it being called something like that)Tell the cheif judge what violations occured while you were on active duty.

Some Judges just do not understand these things the way they should and some are just to stupid to see it.

Also file a complaint with the JAG. They are starting to get involved with these cases of lower court judges railroading our veterans while they were on tour. JAG representation may cause this judge to loose his attitude since he'll be facing a Federal prosecutor in his courtroom.

It's been renamed the serviceperson's civil relief act.

In Florida there is an arm of the state called the JQC, or "Judicial Qualifications Commission" and when a judge is seen to be waving a gun around in court or drunk on the bench or what-have-you, that's where redress is available against the judge. You have one in Indiana as well: http://www.in.gov/judiciary/jud-qual/

Of course, if any particular order is subject to appeal, you could appeal it.

You are probably going to need an attorney to help you with this ... there is a whiff of corruption about it.

In my career as an attorney, I have heard a very credible story of outrageous corruption (judge given $50k to make a drug case go away), and I have witnessed, directly, one attorney accost another in an elevator and intimate that if a gigantic case the attorney had just filed was assigned to any of a particular handful of judges he could put that attorney in touch with the judges' bagmen. And of course, operations like BRILAB, Greylord and "Court Broom" have found whole sets of judges to be corrupt, along with individual judges caught here and there and (although nobody remembers) Supreme Court Justice Abe Fortas.
