cmo140
There are 4 liens on a property and there is a sheriff suppose to come and take the TV's from it from a Judgment. Now from what I understand for them to take the TV's for the Judgment they must pay the liens first and then they can take the TV's. Liens are around the 370k and Judgment is for 1k.Do I call the sheriff or the lawyer that has the Judgment. This is in PA.
nascar
Why would you think a lien on the real property covers a television set?
legal_loansharking
It doesnt matter in PA. Whoever executes the judgment first can and will have the local constable or sheriff take an inventory of personal items, such as the TV, Stereo, Refridgerator, any cars which are paid in full, and lawn furniture equitment, tools etc... Once they levy those goods, they advertise there will be an auction. If you sell or dispose of any of the items after they are levied, you will be in contempt of court and they will arrest you. cmo140
First there is a business loan on eveything on the bar, so no matter what they can't take if from my understanding since there is a lien. and also where have you heard a sheriff putting some in jail for selling items. nascar
It helps to mention whether you're talking about consumer or commercial credit.

The sheriff executes the levy and takes inventory. When they levy your items, sometimes they don't immediately remove them. At that point, if the items disappear, then you may be hauled into court for contempt.
